JOB TITLE: SUMMER CAMP DIRECTOR
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The evening custodian is primarily responsible for the cleanliness of all Providence Creek Academy’s facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Desire and ability to work with children outdoors.
Ability to relate to one’s peer group.
Ability to assist in teaching activities.
Good character, integrity and adaptability.
Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control.
CPR/First Aid Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in the study of elementary education,
physical fitness or any other related field.

REPORTS TO: Human Resource Manager

SUPERVISES: Counselors

JOB GOAL: To assist with the planning, organization and implementation of camp activities while supervising, monitoring and participating in all activities including field trips, arts and crafts, sports and games. The Director is expected to serve as an appropriate role model for the children in his/her care.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and lead daily activities for the participants (ages 5-13) enrolled in the program.
Group supervision of campers with attention to all of the following: program, health, happiness, discipline, cleanliness, safety, routine duties, character and skill development.
Responsible for collecting and tracking payments weekly for each child.
Complete and turn in weekly financial reports and activity plans for assigned program site.
Complete weekly log sheets, discipline reports, accident reports and supply requests.
Supervise day-to-day operation of assigned site.
Supervise all aspects of the campers’ day.
Provide direction and assignments to Camp Counselors.
Serve as main staff contact for parents.
Organize weekly staff meetings to discuss upcoming events/agenda.
Teach or assist with camp programs and encourage camper participation.
Promote camper participation in ALL activities.
Performs other activities and duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Directors.
